NEW OPENING

The SLS is the old Sahara hotel and casino where many entertainers got their start, Bette Midler being one of my favorites, opened in August. It is located on the North east side of Las Vegas blvd. just before the Stratosphere. I was not impressed, its just another casino, the pool is ok, no sports book, small casino, no shopping, limited eateries and it is at the ghetto end of the strip !!! After the curious and the locals are gone, I give 6 months.

BEST POOL LIST

The CROMWELL HOTEL OPENED IN mAY 2014 AND I WISH TO ADD THIS HOTEL TO MY BEST POOL LIST, VERY NICE AND OVER-LOOKING THE lAS vEGAS STRIP. The CromweLL IS LOCATED ON fLAMINGo AND lAS Vegas blvd. Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon and The Barbary Coast, also at one time ,lived in the same spot. Cromwell is a small but elegant hotel.The pool parties and nightclub are wild and crazy AND Don't forget to stop at Giada's for a bite to eat.

NEW PARK AREA'S ON THE STRIP

New York New York and Monte Carlo hotels now have outside seating area's with coffee houses, shops, water falls, food and beverage.As an extra bonus solo music artists will preform for you, usually after 3 p.m. days are random. Most of the preformers are really good. Hey just a shout-out to my dentist 'Scott Lewis' at UNLV School of Dental Medicine, he is awesome !!

THE LINQ

The linq area is located between the FLAMINGO AND THE OUAD HOTELS and will lead you to the THE High Roller observation wheel. The Linq is a place to eat, drink, shop, people watch, sit in front of a beautiful water pond or go bowling while listening to a live band. The Brooklyn Bowl is a really cool place with 5 bars, 2 outside patios, 2 bowling areas on 2 floors ( 16 lanes on each ) over looking the band and dance floor. Open every day 11am-late. HIGH ROLLER IS OPEN

Oh boy, the HIGH ROLLER observation wheel opened yesterday. It will take you 1/2 hour to ride it with a fantastic view of the Las Vegas strip and the Las Vegas valley.It is open from 10am-2am 7 days a week and will cost you $25 for the daytime hours and $30 for the night.However,these prices may change as nothing stays the same in Vegas.It is located across the street from Caesars Palace in the Link area. Anyway you can't miss it, its 550 feet tall.

SPRING IS COMING

IN WITH THE NEW OUT WITH THE OLD. SO MUCH IS CHANGING ON THE VEGAS STRIP.Spring will bring the opening of the High Roller observation wheel, MGM's new park area, more good eats and shoping and outdoor seating. Can't wait !!
