GHOST TOWNS
There are many ghost towns around the Las Vegas area, my favorite is Oatman. Its located about 20 miles east of Laughlin Navada, across the Colorado river just outside of Bullhead City Arizona. It was a mining town during the gold rush, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent their wedding night in Oatman after marring in Kingman Arizona. There's a gun fight in the afternoon, cool old buildings and wild burros that wander the streets, the babies are so cute !! If you like a day in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the desert, you'll enjoy Oatman. There's history, the old west, food and drink, you'll love it.

BEWARE
Las Vegas is a city like all others and has crime, so be aware especially in crowds, men keep your wallets in your front pocket and women keep your purse over your head, if you don't the pic pocket is looking for you !!!!!! If you are going to gamble do not take your credit or debit cards with you especially if you plan to drink. Remember to much drink makes you stupid and you"ll end up betting the farm !!!! Lock all your valuables in your hotel safe. Follow the rules especially at crosswalks and be kind to our beautiful desert don't trash our land. Be safe be smart.

MORE THINGS TO DO IN LAS VEGAS
Red Rock Canyon, 15 miles outside of Vegas, is great a hiking adventure that includes 52 springs, waterfalls, a walk thru of Howard Hughes hide-a-way home and Bonnie Springs old western town. It's a day trip into the past. Check out the famous BBQ, country western band, saloon girls, line dancers and performing outlaws. Take a horse back ride and visit the zoo. There is a motel to stay, if you need more time to see the ghost town or wax museum. Lake Las Vegas, 15 miles outside of Vegas, is a story book village with cobblestone streets, live music, quaint little eateries or fine dinning. Great golf, water cruises or ice skate on the river in the winter or just relax. Laughlin Nevada right on the Colorado river, 1:45 hours from Vegas, is most beautiful in the warmer months, take a walk on the boardwalk you can eat, drink, gamble, see shows or just take the water taxie for a nice ride along the river. Harrah's or the Avi are the best hotels to stay in Laughlin because they both have a beach right on the river. There's lots to do on the beach beside the usual sun and fun, you can rent a jet ski or take a jet boat to the London Bridge. For complete information, reservations, shuttles (some even offer free buffets) always ask your hotel concierges.
